8-Day Cruise From Split on Ambassador 2021 Itinerary

Dubrovnik City Walls Croatia

Day 1 • DUBROVNIK 
Our cruise conveniently embarks in infamous Dubrovnik. The M/S Ambassador will be docked in the main Dubrovnik harbor called Gruz and the cabins will be at your disposal starting from 13:00 (1:00 p.m.).

Please feel free to leave your luggage on board in case of your earlier arrival. Meet your fellow passengers, the Captain and our friendly crew over welcome reception followed by dinner at 19:30 (7:30 p.m.).

Dinner meal will be also served to the guests arriving with late evening flights. Overnight stay in Dubrovnik.

Šipan Island Cruise Port Croatia

Day 2 • DUBROVNIK – SIPAN ISLAND OR SLANO 
After breakfast meets our local tour guide and board a coach for a panoramic drive and photo stop on a hill above Dubrovnik. Upon arrival in the historic core of Dubrovnik, we begin our walking tour exploring the most attractive sights of the famous city enlisted as UNESCO World Heritage site. Whether you stroll the Old Town filled with history, beautiful architecture, steep and narrow streets, take a walk along the town walls or ride a cable car up to the Srdj hill above the town, you will be amazed by the beauty of the Pearl of the Adriatic. Upon completion of the tour have some free time for yourself. Lunch on board is not planned for today so you will have an opportunity to find your favorite restaurant for lunch in Dubrovnik Old Town and explore places on your own pace before return transfer scheduled between 15:00 – 16:00 (the exact transfer departure time will be confirmed on the spot). Once on board again we start our sailing adventure to Sipan Island to drop anchor (weather permitting) at the small picturesque and quiet fishermen’s village of Sipanska Luka. In case of unfavorable weather we will dock in Slano. Dinner will be served on board. Overnight stay in Sipanska Luka or Slano. Meals on board: Breakfast, dinner.


Mljet Island Cruise Croatia PortDay 3 • ŠIPAN (SLANO) – MLJET ISLAND NATIONAL PARK – KORČULA 
We sail this morning towards Mljet National park. Enjoy an unspoiled oasis of tranquillity that Mljet offers and explore the National park strolling around the spectacular Great and Small Lake and taking a local boat ride to the Islet of St. Mary known for its 12th century Benedictine Monastery. We then set sail for Korcula Island to arrive in Korcula town in the afternoon hours. You will find yourself in front of the town walls and the historic town gate, a reminder of the glory and power of this little medieval place. It is just down the street that the famous traveler Marco Polo was born in 1254 coming from a noble family of Korčula town. You can savor all the uniqueness of Korčula by strolling its cobbled, narrow and shady lanes where you will find handcraft stores and shops with jewelry made from local coral germs. Learn about Korčula during our walking tour, enjoy the rest of the evening in a laid back atmosphere of this jewel town and find a restaurant at your choice. Overnight stay in Korčula. Korcula Island Cruise Port CroatiaDay 4 • KORČULA – VIS ISLAND 
Enjoy another tranquil and relaxing day as we smoothly glide towards the town of Vis having a swim break and lunch en route. Vis Island is the most mysterious and the furthest of the central Dalmatian islands from the coast. The town of the same name developed from the former settlements Kut and Luka, which became one entity in the 16th century by the building of the church Gospa od Spilica. Serving as a military base for the Yugoslav army Vis was cut off from foreign visitors from the 1950s until 1989. Due to such isolation, the island remained intact with its authenticity in nature, architecture, ecological agriculture, peace, and quiet, all that you will enjoy during your free evening. In the morning hours we sail for the tiny island of Biševo. Covering 6 sq km, Biševo would hardly be noticed at all except for its remarkable Blue Cave (Blue Grotto). Out of some ten caves scattered around Biševo’s coast, the Blue Cave is the most outstanding. Between 11 am and noon on a sunny calm day, rays of the sun passing through an underwater opening illuminate the cave with a luminous blue light while objects beneath the surface shimmer in silver and pink. Please keep in mind that a visit to Blue Cave is wind, waves, and weather permitting. In case where a visit to Blue Cave will not be possible, the guests will be refunded in cash for the entry ticket cost and an alternative excursion will be offered. However, an alternative tour of Vis will be offered on the spot. You will have another great opportunity for you to dip yourself in the Adriatic Sea and enjoy lunch on board before calling the port of Hvar. Experience the enchanting town of Hvar situated on the island of the same name. Hvar is claimed to be the most popular Croatian island which you may realize while feeling the vibe of its bustling promenade, well-appointed cafes, wine stores, shops, and restaurants. Join an evening walking tour to learn on the history and heritage of Hvar followed by the presentation of centuries long lavender farming tradition. Overnight stay in Hvar. Day 6 • HVAR – BOL – TROGIR 

We start our day with the morning departure towards Bol situated on Brač Island. Bol is well known for its pebbled beach called Zlatni Rat, claimed to be the most beautiful beach on the Croatian coast. Immerse yourself in a bath of sun and seawater or explore the town of Bol before lunch and continuation of our journey to Trogir, set within medieval walls on a tiny island, linked by bridges to both the mainland and to the far larger Ciovo Island. Stroll the marble streets of Trogir accompanied by our guide to admire its intact and beautiful medieval buildings that earned it UNESCO World Heritage status. Sit back and enjoy tonight Captain`s dinner with live entertainment. Overnight stay in Trogir.

Day 7 • TROGIR – SPLIT 
As you sip your morning we sail to Split, the largest Dalmatian city. Join us for a walking tour and explore with our guide some of the numerous archaeological, historic and cultural sites of Split. In 1700-year-old the historic core of Split inscribed under UNESCO World Heritage – and within a short walk distance from our ship- stands the massive Palace of the Roman Emperor Diocletian, dating back to the 3rd A.D. In the course of time the Old Town of Split developed inside and around the Palace which included three Roman temples and a massive mausoleum. Have an evening in Split on your own and find your favorite restaurant for farewell dinner. Overnight stay in Split. Meals on board: Breakfast, lunch.

Day 8 • SPLIT 
Breakfast and disembarkation by 9:00 am. It is time to say farewell to all your new friends, but only for a while.
