Šipan
Šipan is the biggest island in the group of Elaphiti islands, situated near Dubrovnik, on the very south of Croatia. Picturesque island is known for its numerous vineyards and olive-groves between the two settlements, Suđurađ and Šipanska Luka.
The island is also known for its 30 churches dating back to the Middle Ages and for a renaissance castle from 16th century.
Clear sea attracts many visitors in numerous coves on the island. Dubrovnik is to reach once a day by a ferryboat and four times a day by the boat “Postira”.
Šipanska Luka is situated in the deep cove on the west of the island. The settlement, which counts about 300 inhabitants, turns into a tourist oasis every summer.
It attracts both yachtsmen and the ones who want to find peace on this true Mediterranean island.
